We're excited to inform you that a new drag and drop product image manager is now active on all Invotide online stores. As a result of this update, you can upload product images simply by dragging images into your product edit page.

The new drag and drop image manager makes it easy to add multiple images for your products. It is designed to improve your productivity, simplify product management task and improve overall user experience.
 
To use new product image uploader, navigate to the products page and click the edit button for the product you want to add image. In the product edit page, select the "Images" tab and choose the desired images from local folder and drag the image files from browser window with the mouse and simply release the mouse button. See screenshot below for details.


Upload image from your computer

Along with dragging and dropping, we included the option to upload image from your computer file folder. See how it works below.

  • Click on button to open your computer file folder, look for the desired images, select them and click open button.


Upload image using links

In addition to uploading from your computer, we also included the ability to upload images using links. See how it works below.

  • Click to open the text entry form!, insert image links into this form, then click the ok button.
  • To add multiple links use separator # see example: http://domain.com/img1.jpg#http://domain.com/img2.jpg

Add images from server

Along with dragging and dropping and traditional file selection, we also included the ability to add images from server using the image manager. See how it works below.

  • Click  button to open the server image manager, click on the desired images to add it to the list, you can go to another directory and continue to add images, note that the list is not canceled if you navigate to another directory. Once you done, click on the button to complete the image upload process.


Customization overview

Settings menu

For more advanced settings, we added a customization menu to enable you customize the new product image manager settings.

  • Сlick on to open the settings modal. See screenshot below for details.

Max images

In the "Max images" field, you can limit the number of uploaded images.

Reduce size

In the "Reduce size" field, you can change the resolution; if the image size is larger than you changed, the image will be reduced to the specified size.

Reduce quality

In the "Reduce quality" field, you can change the compression; Сhanging the image quality can save up to 50% of server space.

Original file

To upload the original file, set - Reduce size: Original, Reduce quality: 0%, Watermark: Disabled.

Remove images

In the "Remove images" field, you can set how images will be removed from server;
  • Do not (will not delete anything)
  • When product is deleted (only deleting a product also removes images from server associated with the product)
  • When removed from product (only when removed from the product will also be deleted from server associated with the product)
  • Anyway (deleting a product and when removed from the product will also be deleted from server associated with the product)

Image name

In the "Image Name" field, you can enable or disable the rename function;
  • Default (image name will not be renamed)
  • Random (image name will be renamed to make it unique)
  • Translit (ch{ч} v{в} match inside curly brackets will be replaced by those letters from the front of curly braces. Exemple: чв-> chv) download sample

Upload folder

In the "Image Name" field, you can change the upload folder name;
  • To use the value from the SKU field in the folder name, you must use {sku}. Supported values: {manufacturer},{model},{sku},{upc},{ean},{jan},{isbn},{mpn}
  • To use the date in the folder name, you must use {day},{month},{year}. For example, {day} return 17 {month} return 02 {year} return 2021
  • You can use the terms {sku}|product (if sku values are empty then the upload folder name will be called product) if after | nothing follows the upload will be in the catalog. Example: product-{sku}|product-{month}{year}

Watermark enable/disable

In the "Watermark" field you can enable or disable image watermark.

  • Сlick on to open the settings modal, disabled watermark: enabled watermark:

Watermark customization

In the watermark tab, you can customize image watermark using preview settings.
  • Insert a link to the image or text in the "Watermark" field, if it is defined as text, then an icon with a color selection will appear at the end of the field, clicking on will pop up a menu with color choices or you can use form with a hex color code.
  • In the the "Position" field, you can choose at which position is on relative to the main image.
  • In the “Transmittance” field, you can choose the degree of transparency of the watermark.
  • In the "Dimensions" field, you can select the size of the watermark relative to the main image.
