How to accept cryptocurrency payments with Plisio payment gateway
If you've finally decided to accept cryptocurrency on your store – congratulations! We’ve made this guide for business owners interested in Plisio crytocurrency payment gateway module. This module allows Invotide stores to accept cryptocurrency payments via the Plisio gateway. What’s more important, the installation process is really simple and won’t take much of your time.
First, let’s take a look at the module key features:

Step 1 - Create Plisio Merchant Account
If you haven’t signed up on Plisio yet, you can create an account using this link https://plisio.net/account/signup. In the sign up page, add information about yourself. Then you need to click on the “Sign up” button.
After that, you’ll need to confirm your e-mail.
You will an email contain verification link. After clicking on the link, you'll be able to access your account profile.
Setup API
Congratulations! Now you have a Plisio account. Your next step is to press the "Connect my business" button in the pop-up. It will bring you to the API section.
In the API section you’ll have to verify your Invotide store URL first. To do so, you need to enter store URL in the designated field using the “http” or “https” protocol and click on the “Verify” button.
Site URL verification
After having clicked on the button, you’ll be moved to the page with different verification options. You will need to choose the Meta tag verification option, following the instruction provided to copy the meta tag code provided.
Once you've copied the meta tag code, open your online store admin panel and select "Stores" in the settings menu, in the store edit page, copy the Plisio meta tag code as shown above to your store settings page. See screenshots below on steps to do it below.STEP 1
Open the Settings menu in admin panel and select "Stores" to edit the store settings.
STEP 2
Copy the Plisio meta tag code in to the "Head Section" box.
Right after you've completed all the steps above you’ll have to go back to your Plisio account domain verification page and click on the confirmation button as shown below.
Then we’ll carry out the verification procedure and if everything is in order, you’ll see a check mark in the URL box.
API Secret Key
Once the store URL is verified, you can fill in the remaining fields and click on the “Save Changes” button - this action will redirect you to the next page. There you’ll be able to choose "Opencart" as integration type and get the necessary Secret Key that you’ll need for module activation. Even though you are recommended to save it, you still can get a new one if you’ve lost it.
Request IP
You can enter your site IP in the “Request IP” field. Plisio API will be available for this address only. This step isn’t necessary as Invotide already provide payment security on your website.
Who pays fees?
The final step is for you to decide who’s going to pay transaction fees - you or your customer.
Step 2 - Activate Plisio Payment Gateway Module
Once all changes are saved, you will need to activate the payment gateway on your online store admin panel following the steps below.
STEP 1: Copy the secret key on your Plisio account API integration settings page as shown below.
STEP 2: Open your store admin panel, navigate to the settings page and choose "Payments" menu as shown in the screenshot below.
STEP 3: In the payment methods page, search and install the "Plisio" cryptocurrency payment method as shown below.
STEP 4: After installation, you click the edit button and in the Plisio payment method edit page, enter the API Secret key, enable status and save as shown below.Once you complete the steps above, your Plisio payment gateway module is now fully operational! From now on you can accept all available cryptocurrencies in your online store.
